Straight out of the washing machine
Straight out of the washing machine, our dog’s most prized possession is his ‘porkchop’. He plays fetch inside with it. He takes it everywhere. He tucks it into bed with him and snuggles it. It was truly disgusting when I put it in the washing machine. Past Zoe might have thrown it away. I’m glad I didn’t – it looks fine!
We have play time and then rest time when all the toys go away. This teaches discipline but also avoids destructive behaviour and reduces waste. This is the first toy that Toki hasn’t ripped apart if he’s left alone with it. We’ve washed it 4 or 5 times and it’s starting to wear out, but still fixable.
We don’t have a zero waste dog yet, but we’re getting there. Any tips on plastic-free dog food?
